Bungie E3

Wait what? You guys think the war games matchmaking system is good? It's impossible to find a competitive match online because they removed skill based matching. Dropping into a match I'm about to lose is stupid aswell... From this article I can tell you guys really aren't halo fans lol.
  • Satchurated - May 16, 2014 10:43 a.m.

I agree that the matchmaking has dropped in quality. The whole lobby design is worse than Reach's (different yet worse) and also, 343 is constantly updating the maps and their weapon placements so that casual players, like me, that drop in from time to time get completely ruined by guys that constantly know where the new weapon drops are. I also hate customized loadouts and 1 second spawns. Spawn killing anyone? The weapons are designed for faster kills and halo is becoming more and more like Call of Duty. I want HALO gosh darnnit. Not cod. Bunige reigns supreme.

i think they should at least make the multiplayer feel like how bungie made halo 2's multiplayer, with secrets and glitches like the super bounce and sword cancel and get ontop of maps, and also the ranking systems, it was the best and i was sad when it was gone.

Actually, you were kinda spot on with it turning out that the Precursors are actually the Flood, as found out in the final Forerunner Saga book...

Spartan Ops = fun? HAHAHA nice one XD
  • Satchurated - May 16, 2014 10:44 a.m.

Firefight > Spartan ops Any day
  • SirPlatinum - March 9, 2013 3:25 p.m.

Screw commander Palmer. Give us what we want, Kelly, Fred, and Linda god damn it.
  • closer2192 - March 9, 2013 2 p.m.

Ah yes, first the Forerunners, now the Precursors. Next we'll have the Preceders, and so on, until we finally get to the Originators in Halo 27.
  • DuckLovesToast - May 16, 2014 6:30 a.m.

You do know the precursors are actually a proper part of halo lore right? It's not like they just randomly put them in for a plot point. They play a pretty big part in the entire halo universe.
  • FoxdenRacing - May 16, 2014 8:23 a.m.

Nah. After precursors, we'll find out that Halo and Jak&Daxter are the same universe.

I miss you Arbiter! Whatever happened to that guy anyway? Is he on the enemy side again since we're still fighting the Covenant?
  • Shadownerd45 - September 3, 2013 5:02 p.m.

Read The Thursday War. Sanghelios (Sangheli/Elite homeworld) is in a rebellion against the Arbiter. Of course that was a few months after Halo 3 and Halo 4 is years after the end of the Human-Covenant War. The strange thing is that the Sangheli are struggling to even farm in The Thursday War. Wonder how they got those ships and are now a formidable force again.
  • DuckLovesToast - May 16, 2014 6:36 a.m.

The covenant you fight in halo 4 are a different faction called the "Storm Covenant" they still oppose the truce between humanity so that's why you're still fighting them I think. As far as I know the truce still exists and arbiters still alive. Probably show up or get mentioned as a cameo in this game :)
  • Fuzunga - March 8, 2013 7:58 p.m.

They did the co-op partner thing in Halo 3. It was stupid and made no sense. I like that they went back to Chief clones, as it should be.

I'd like to see improvements toward the multiplayer loading and the ability to join in game. Halo 4 continues to sufffer the same fate as previous halo online experiences. When somebody leaves the match, there is an exremely long load time until the game starts up again. There isn't even a warning before it starts up again. And sometimes the entire match will just crash. Fix that if possible. Also, I enjoy having the ability to join in-game, but at the same time, it can be better. There have still been a good handful of games where I'd be the only man left on my team and nobody else would join in-game. Improve it so that in-game joining can happen at any time, seamlessly. The in-game armor could also be improved with more visor-friendly helmets. I'm tired of seeing a bunch of robot-esque(visorless) helmets dominate the majority of the usable armor. Make it seem, at least, slightly more human. Oh and keep building off of Neil Davidge's brilliant score and the next game will be great.

A story that isn't complete garbage would be nice. Halo 4's story was as bad as fan fiction. It's going to take a lot to get me to buy Halo 5, which is a shame because I considered myself a huge Halo fan until I got my hands on Halo 4. Now, I'm just not sure.....
  • Brocyclopedia - March 8, 2013 5:25 p.m.

Have player one play as Chief, and have the other 3 play as their Spartan IV's. Also let me flesh out my Spartan a bit. This is next gen we're talking about, I should be able to put some personality in him.
  • FOZ - March 8, 2013 2:31 p.m.

I don't know where they can go. Halo 4 already squandered the entire premise (Chief and Cortana stranded on a Forerunner planet) within the first hour of the game, so outside of speculation, there isn't even that much to look forward to story-wise at the moment. No Palmer. What an awful, awful character. The Spartan IV's suck. None of them are the slightest bit interesting. So fix that if we're going to have to listen to these tools tell us "SHOOT ANYTHING THAT MOVES" for every single Spartan Op. And definitely bring back Firefight. So many of the Spartan Ops were just half-baked Firefights without any of the customization. Arbiter is also Bungie's character, and I think 343 is trying to stray away from just bringing in as many old characters and references as they can.
