Isn't the picture from Resident Pikmin actually from Dead Space 3? It definitely looks like a Necromorph...
  • zelta38 - January 18, 2014 10:20 a.m.

These are all awesome! When are they releasing?
  • MikeJazzfaceTheDancingSquirrel - January 17, 2014 3:26 a.m.

  • brickman409 - January 16, 2014 11:52 a.m.

I remember there was a Mario Dance Dance Revolution game for the GameCube, and a Donkey Kong bongo drum rhythm game. so that Donkey Kong Dance game sounds like something Nintendo would do.
  • shawksta - January 16, 2014 12:32 p.m.

Dont forget Jungle Beat, that used the bongo's in a action platformer beat em up
  • Redeater - January 16, 2014 4:34 p.m.

Damn I'm so upset I missed out on that in its prime! I drunkenly played it for the first time a couple years ago and loved it. You actually look like a damn dirty ape while playing it.
  • shawksta - January 16, 2014 7:41 p.m.

You missed it in its prime? Im guessing you mean you played the Wii version then? If so, that was literally the only "New Wii Controls" gamecube ported game that actually had enhancements. The original didnt give you a golden crown or have Boss Battle Mode.

Also, it took me until a nostalgic punch in the face today till i finally realize what your icon is. God i love MST3K

Trying to imagine a gritty reboot version of Day of the Tentacle ...or Psychonauts. *shudder* ...Well, now you must coin a phrase for the opposite and examine what a little color and softness would do for all those dingy, gritty games. Skyrim and Gears of War have always looked a little too washed out for my liking, as much as I love playing them. (Skyrim especially... that's desaturation taken too far, imo.) Seriously, I'm waiting for the follow-up story. (Thanks!) =-)

Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked it! It's funny you mention that, as it did cross my mind while making this one. We'll see what happens!
  • KidKatana - January 16, 2014 2:13 a.m.

I actually had an allergic reaction when I read the Zelda one. You knew which buttons to push sir. Also...Ben Abbott...are you the intern who was on the GRUK podcast that one time? If so then well done for getting an article published/joining the team/delete as appropriate. Consider yourself funny.

Pikmin is already everything Lost Planet should be.
  • shawksta - January 15, 2014 11:50 p.m.

^^This Pikmin's sense of realistic savageness of ones Pikmin and enemies already set up the standard said game like Lost Planet shouldve had.
  • SnakeinmyBoot - January 16, 2014 2:51 a.m.

Indeed, that. Pikmin may look cutesy but under that adorable layer is the very real depiction of how nasty nature can be. A few lone pikmin will be devoured by larger creatures, but with numbers they can gang up and fell those beasts and the young they were protecting to be used as nutrients for the pikmin's own youth. That along with the fact that Pikmin 2 is all about enslaving these creatures to move massive monuments and kill for money and you know that with a fresh coat of paint the series could never be marketed to kids again.

By the time you read this my eyes have popped from those vile pictures and I am now waiting for donor eyes.
  • GOD - January 15, 2014 9:12 p.m.

I love that Call of Animal Duty photoshop, but I'd have to say that Resident Pikmin would probably work really well. That game can already be stressful from having to manage your Pikmin and adding legitimate horror when you're already tense would gloriously take it over the edge.
  • talleyXIV - January 15, 2014 4:16 p.m.

    LittleBigMayhem actually sounds brilliant.
  • benjamin-abbott - January 16, 2014 2:10 a.m.

    Thanks for reading!
  • winner2 - January 15, 2014 3:12 p.m.

I would play the hell out of littlebigmayhem, dead serious
