Get a look at L.A. Noire's Wal-Mart DLC exclusive

Want a good reason to pick up L.A. Noire along with your weekly purchase of disposable diapers and jumbo-sized bag of Funyuns? Well, Rockstar’s got you covered with some fairly great incentive. Folks who purchase the game from Wal-Mart starting May 17th  will get a code good for a FREE “Launch Exclusive” DLC traffic case called “A Slip of the Tongue.”

Personally, I don’t care what the case entails as long as someone shouts “Which one’a you mugs stole this car?!”

Ok well, I understand the case, but I didn't really think it would come down to gun fire over a stolen car.

As a criminal Justice major sir you'd be surprised at the dumb charges criminals wish to avoid.

And the stolen car could be part of larger crime, EvilChicken! What if it was being used to smuggle Commies?!

ughh, I hate retailer exclusive items, but missions?! Who is going to preorder at Walmart anyway?

looks like with all of this extra cash making dlc that games are coming out with at launch these days (that should be included in the game to begin with) is going to make me wait for a game of the year edition on another great title
  • RedKirth - March 31, 2011 9:08 p.m.

@WoodyWoodrow It's only exclusive for launch. It'll be released in the PS3 Store/Marketplace after launch. That info was included in Rockstars Facebook post, but was, for some reason, omitted from this article.

Knowing how gritty RockStar games tend to be “A Slip of the Tongue”, probably involves a hearse driver having amorous dealings with his "stiff" clients.

yay so i have to buy this game four times to get the full game. i really hate pre order exclusive stuff. i really hope they make all these dlc at least.

DLC that you get as a bonus is understandable. But DLC specific to a retailer is just unfair. You're making gamers pick between GameStop, WalMart, Best Buy, and Amazon.

Hey! I may shop at Wal-Mart and buy disposable diapers, but that doesn't mean I eat Funyuns. And no, the dispers aren't for me. I'm not that much of a hardcore gamer.
