No Dishonored? Seriously? Or Sleeping Dogs?
  • Hobogonigal - June 13, 2012 1:55 a.m.

I wouldn't say Pikmin 3 was the best looking Wii-U title announced. To be honest it looked rather basic. Still looking forward to other Wii-U games though; as well as AC3, FC3 and TombRaider to name a few others.

Halo might feel like its as exciting as the other new releases i'll admit.Mostly because it has got quite a bit until November 6. And Halo is usually EVERYWHERE and it gets tiring. Though i think it deserves a spot on the grounds that its not being developed by bungie. The Last of Us seems completely breathtaking. Its something new that deserves respect.Just like Tomb Raider and Beyond: Two Souls. Though in the end, all the titles announced at E3 deserve respect. Halo, the Last of Us,and Tomb Raider excite me the most.

I think it's healthy to turn a blind eye to some of these repeating franchises and give a bit more space to some of the new ideas and IPs. We all know the Halos and Medals of Duty are coming. We pretty much know what they'll be about and how they'll play. I don't think games like the new Halo will be bad necessarily. It's just that after a while it becomes superfluous to talk about them anymore; it's just taking up space for the titles we don't know anything about (especially in the context of an E3 article). E3 is about the future of gaming; Halo and the rest of the franchise mob just feel a little like the past.

Transformers Fall of Cybertron is the one I am eagerly awaiting this year. War for Cybertron was somewhat overlooked when that was first released but it was an amazing game. Campaign was just brilliant and co op game play added an extra element and multiplayer was amazing Fall of Cybertron can only improve on this with the added element of Dinobots, Bruticus and Metroplex (siren 80s kid 80s kid)If you think I have spouted off gibberish you clearly are not old enough. Every new video and screen shot of Fall of Cybertron pushes this game rightly so to Best Game of 2012. One shall stand one shall Fall MOVE ON AND ROLL OUT

It was a great E3 this year.

Wow, so typical of these guys to include CoD. When the hell is everyone going to wake up and want a different flavored drink. Sick of their shitty rehashing of the same engine that got old after MW2. There are free shooters online that cost a fraction of the cost and have a lot more features, smoother more balanced shooting, and just as, if not better graphics.
  • Rick_Roll - June 10, 2012 11:57 a.m.

So typical for someone to complain about it being on the list.
  • Beoftw - June 28, 2012 4:19 p.m.

    >coming from the guy with skyrim as their dp.
  • zombi3grim - June 11, 2012 9:55 p.m.

You know I found people who complain about CoD are usually some of the biggest CoD players. Just sayin...

can't wait for black ops 2 looks like it will be a fanastic game !"

I find your lack of Halo 4..... disturbing. Seriously, the 10th game in a ridiculously milked mindless military shooter series beats Halo 4?! Blasphemy!
  • muelsknr - June 10, 2012 8:17 a.m.

well, Halo is about the 6th....either way it did look surprisingly great and I feel that it should have been included as well.
  • NullG7 - June 9, 2012 11:04 p.m.

I dont care if its partially true but being a console gamer I find this statement Borderline offensive. 'it must prove to the console crowd that managing resources is just as exciting as emptying magazines' Just because you are more likely to be shooting things does not mean that's all you have ever done.

The only reason why I could see Blops 2 getting an award and NOT Halo 4 is because Treyarch is actually DOING something with the game, unlike IW, who literally do rerelease COD4 with new weapon skins every other november. It's the most ambitious title yet, and the new features incorporate some ideas that FPS's as a genre haven't nailed yet (no not the branching storylines, the optional RTS missions that DO take part in branching paths). Halo 4 is the same thing as Reach. Which was the same thing as Halo 3, but with perks. Which was the same thing as Halo 2, but with shinier graphics and some new weapons. Which was the same thing as Halo 1, with dual wielding and better online performance. Personally, I don't like either CoD or Halo; I too think that the main draw (the online) has been the same for the past 4 games. Blops 2 only interests me because Treyarch is actually using their brains and being creative. Meaning, I'm only really interested in seeing how the campaign/zombies is going to play out.

CoD4 was more ambitious than Blops 2. I don't see Treyarch coming in with a revolutionary new formula - they're still using someone else's.

    Pikmin 3!

    No Dishonored!?! Blasphemy!
  • Turtman - June 9, 2012 6:54 a.m.

Why is Call Of Duty 4 on here? That game came out like 5 years ago-oh, that's Modern Warfare 2. And did I miss Dishonored?
