Old Republic is absolutely terrible. Anyone who has PvP'd or even raided at any level in WoW in any year can tell you a .5 second delay on abilities is game breaking. And adding cutscenes in between killing x amount of enemies isn't content, it's filler. December was a super weak month.

    trololololol
  • MetroidPrimeRib - December 30, 2011 5:21 p.m.

    Sorry but that's not trolling
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 30, 2011 5:40 p.m.

Because hardcore WoW players will notice a delay the game is "terrible," and that's not trolling?
  • MetroidPrimeRib - December 30, 2011 6:41 p.m.

Hardcore WoW players are the only ones that have the ability to detect the .5 second lag that everyone has, on every ability, in every encounter, no matter what? Are you defending this?
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 30, 2011 6:59 p.m.

Oh well. Different strokes for different folks! lolol!
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 30, 2011 7:12 p.m.

    Agree to disagree!
  • Mavarious - December 30, 2011 8:37 p.m.

I still love you, Mr. Cooper. Let's love SWTOR together; these other kids can sit on their dragons in Orgrimmar and wait for queues to pop.

Never played any MMO. Ever. The Old Republic is my first, and I gotta say, it's pretty great. Haters gonna hate, I guess...
  • MetroidPrimeRib - December 31, 2011 1:02 p.m.

So you'll ignore things that totally break the game and call everyone that notices it a WoW fan? That sounds like denial
  • talleyXIV - December 31, 2011 6:55 p.m.

I am not a big fan of Hollander or MetroidPrimeRib but I have to say that Metroid is right. If you can't admit that your favorite game has problems than you need to grow up a bit.
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 31, 2011 7:34 p.m.

    It's... not my favorite game?
  • talleyXIV - December 31, 2011 7:39 p.m.

Okay, a game you *LIKE* (NOT YOUR FAVORITE) has problems and you can't admit it. Even more sad.
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 31, 2011 7:42 p.m.

Nah, Metroid, I just don't think that complaint "totally breaks the game." It's not a deal breaker for me, or for a any of the people I've talked to. If it does ruin the game for you there are always other games to play.
  • Hollander_Cooper - December 31, 2011 7:51 p.m.

The game has plenty of problems, no doubt about it. I never denied that at all. What I said is that I don't see the complaint he has as "ruining" the game. A .5 second delay that most people (myself included) don't notice/mind is hardly a deal breaker.
  • Mavarious - December 31, 2011 9:26 p.m.

I don't fully understand what you mean by "totally breaks the game." I'd like to be pointed to an example of this so-called 0.5 second delay "breaking the game." I've been playing since the 15th, I played WoW for five years before that, and I've played MMOs and other games for 12 years. Yes, I notice some delay, no it doesn't break the game for me. It's nothing near unplayable; it doesn't even approach lightly annoying for me. Show me a video of it or something.... maybe an article articulating on the details of the issue... I dunno, just show SOME substance to support the idea that a "0.5 second delay" makes SWTOR an unworthy piece of shit.
  • Mavarious - December 31, 2011 9:28 p.m.

Supposed to be in reply.... but yes, I'm basically making the same points as Hollander.
  • MetroidPrimeRib - December 31, 2011 11:29 p.m.

PvPing Run into guy Try to cast Cant because it takes half a second longer then it should, get permastunned Die You must have NEVER played an MMO if you think .5 second delay isn't game destroying.
  • bassfu - January 2, 2012 3:53 a.m.

You say that like he doesn't have a delay either. PVP issue != game destroying.
  • MetroidPrimeRib - January 2, 2012 10:39 a.m.

But first strikes in PvP is everything... It's like you have really never played an MMO, or any game, ever before.
