Fable III's menus are officially 100% more sexy. Plus, John Cleese

Fable III developer Lionhead has just put out a new video diary, which, amongst other things, offers a really good look at the game's new, improved menus and interface.

As you'll see, Lionhead boss man Peter Molyneux is excited about Fable III's 'gooey'. In case you're not sure, he's talking about the graphical user interface (or GUI). Instead of boring old lists, players can look forward to something that is 3D and interactive. I like menus when they're dressed up all sexy. And gooey. Check it out:

Looks like a pretty neat way of navigating Albion and the expanded world. Can't wait to see some more. Oh, and good to hear John 'What have the Romans ever done for us' Cleese doing a few of his lines. Surely an early contender for video game butler of the year.

Is it bad that I didn't believe a single thing Peter Molyneux said until another guy said it? I seriously didn't even believe John Cleese did a voice until he himself said it. I've just trained my brain to not believe him.

I think I love you. You just named some of my all time favorites. I loved NWN and the Baldur's Gate series. Don't get me started on KOTOR. I got Jade Empire last December in the Steam holiday sale for like $3. I don't know wtf I was doing when that game originally came out but I missed it somehow. I played it for a couple hours and loved it, but then I lost my save. I need to get back into it...

I dont really put fable in the rpg genre any more. It at most was related to it but now it seems like they want to go off on their own and borrow ideas from RPGs.

Ive played plenty of PC RPGs the best starting with Baldurs Gate's, Nevrwinter Nights's, Diablo's(II was better), PLANETSCAPE, KOTOR(add jade empire and you have my username) and the list goes on (Bioware fanboy.. i know). I was just saying dont discount fable as average because its WELL above and in my opinion i think many RPG fans would agree. Hell you and I probably agree on a bunch of other shit cause you sound older than 16 and have respect for the classics.

JADENkOTOR- I guess if all you've ever known is console gaming then sure the Fable series would seem great, but it is nowhere close to some of the RPG's the PC has seen, many of which were out years before Fable.

John Cleese being in the Shrek sequels hasn't stop them from being utter crap. But since I like Fable anyway, he certainly won't hurt it.

Did db really call the Fable series just average? I want to see the games you call good. I guess they haven't been released to us average joes yet. Anyway the game looks great just like like the rest of them although better boss battles would be a plus. I would also like to see more of the rare items and shit ton more of clothing/armor options.

These aren't innovations, they're just these idiots finally catching up to the other RPGs out there. The whole "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me..." thing applies here. You don't get a third time, Lionhead.

    Better boss battles please Molyneux.

the gooey makes me tingly and John Cleese makes me gooey. There's got to be a cream for that sort of thing, right?

Bah. FF13 still has a sexier menus. That said, I love everything this man makes, so will get this regardless.

John Cleese is indeed the man, but I just can't stand Peter Molyneux. If you took his word for it, he has changed the way games are made and enjoyed forever with Black & White and Fable, but in reality they are just average to slightly above average games that haven't changed anything and are unmemorable for the most part.

Awesome. I have to say, I was iffy about Fable 3, but these ViDoc's keep easing my mind.

JOHN CLEESE. :O. He's epic. This makes me want to own an Xbox 360 even more. :P.
