Every Mortal Kombat fatality EVER

What it looks like to FINISH HIM 238 times

We've been discussing Mortal Kombat all week, from its arcade history to elaborate examinations of individual characters. How do you end such a celebration? Why, with a 20 MINUTE video compiling every single finishing move the grisly series has served up since its inception in 1992. Many hours were spent performing these bastards, so please watch it 10 or 12 times.

How does one pull off a fatality? Well, once the "Finish Him!" prompt appears, you input a specific combination of direction taps and button presses; if successfully done, your fighter executes the opponent. However, it's not just a matter of memorization, as most fatalities require you to stand in a specific place, or a certain distance away from the dizzied foe. Getting them right is a challenge... getting238 right in less than a week is mind-shredding nightmare. Luckily fellow kombatants Mikel Reparaz and Miguel Concepcion were on hand to help out and record their fair share!

And yeah, we DID do thisonce before(way back in 2006), but it 1) Missed some stuff 2) Was edited kinda hastily, missing the best parts of many fatalities and 3) Was made two video encoders ago, so our new player will make it all look much nicer.

Above: Perhaps the most famous of them all, a simple Forward-Down-Forward-High Punch

We did not include animalities, babalities, friendships or even the MK vs DC Universe stuff; the former because they're not technically even "fatalities," and the latter because they're T-rated pretend fatalities that compromise the entire point of the move. The games included, in order: Mortal Kombat (1992), Mortal Kombat II (1993) Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1997, which encompasses Ultimate MK3 and more), Mortal Kombat 4 (1997), Deadly Alliance (2002) Deception (2004) and Armageddon (2006). This brings us right up to next week's new Mortal Kombat, and also ends our Kombat Week. So if you're tired of all this MK nonsense... it's officially over!*
