E3 2010: PlayStation booth surprise!

There are all kinds of celebrity sightings on the E3 showfloor. Felcia Day was very visible over at the MicroSoft booth. Just minutes ago we had our Mortal Kombat interrupted by a semi-famous talk show host. But when you think about all the celebs you could possibly bump into while trying to flip pancakes and pet digital dogs in the PlayStation Move, how the hell could we’ve expected to encounter one of the deadliest men on the planet: Mr. Steven Seagal! Fulfilling our journalistic obligations, we tried to get an interview with the man… it does not go well.

Seagal was there in case things at E3 got ugly. He knew what was going to go on display that day. Brave man.

hah nice find! Not many people have seen a seagal in the wild and lived to tell the tale. I would just want to get close enough to see if it is serious or if its a group of elves in a giant man suit trying to play tricks on america

You could of took him just attack the soft spot on his aging head for Massive Damage

You should have pushed for a interview, it would have went down in GamesRadar history

Oh silly gamesradar Never change! I love you just the way you are!

Oh c'mon! What would he have done? Slapped you around? Thrown you over a balcony? Sued? I think it would have been worth it to at least try. I mean, yeah, the guy has clearly let himself go over the years, but its Steven Freaking Seagal! Ridicule his later-career offerings all you want, fellow commentors, but know that there is no denying Above The Law, Marked For Death, and Out For Justice. Especially Out For Justice. Hell, I'll even throw in Under Siege, which was pretty ridiculous, and it's not-as-bad-as-you'd-guess sequel (assuming I am one of maybe twelve people who actually saw it). And even though Seagal has put on some pounds, so has Chris! *YIKES!* Did I just say that? Seriously, you want to see a guy who has bloated in the past few years, come look at me. I didn't mean any real harm, I love the TDar and Chris is absolutely THE MAN. I just felt that a shot on goal was worth it for the missed opportunity on display in this video. Steven Seagal was RIGHT THERE! Although I do think approach would have been everything, which is why "sober Chris" probably would have been best (which seemed to be the case - another strike right there!). I'm guessing Mr. Seagal still "has it" to some extent and getting on his bad side right off the bat would probably be a very bad idea. But a "Hey, Mr. Seagal (the "Mister" reference definitely being key), we are big fans of yours, what do you think of E3?". See how that includes some buttering-up and keeps the dialog simple and based on shared experience? If he would have been a dick then all "Seagal=Douche" comments would have been justified, but sadly this sorry tale ends with quite the whimper instead. We will never know, and I imagine you (Chris) will regret not having at least tried for the rest of your life. *Sniff* And regarding the many comments along the lines of "fuck Seagal", let's not forget that the guy at one point routinely porked Kelly LeBrock, and that my friends absolutely counts for something. At least before she got fat. Damn, is anyone not fat these days?

lol I do love the fact that Gdar isn't as corporate as other sites. That was more entertaining than if Gamespot actually got the interview! Please keep staying under the radar, that way Chris won't get fired for a bad review!

Come one guys, cut him some slack. A person always needs to get away from their job once in a while and they guy just wanted to have fun. At least, I hope he did.

......did someone seriously say he isn't a great actor anymore??? Wouldn't that require him being a great one to begin with? I think the phrase your looking for is "He isn't even a mediocre actor anymore"
  • taterboob - June 18, 2010 3:17 a.m.

What a bum. He's at E3, and he's spending his day sitting on a bench rejecting interviews? I officially like Hasselhoff better than Seagal now.

Chris Antista: Killing seals while on deadly ground since 1994...
  • OneEyedGoon - June 18, 2010 1:15 a.m.

@superstud: Chris is pretty entertaining in his Major Minor's Majestic March video. Besides, the man is very, VERY entertaining when casting his pod.
  • DustyRooster - June 18, 2010 12:45 a.m.

Don't let these comments get you down, Chris. He REALLY does have a bag of guns. He would have killed you and sexually assaulted your dead body. You did the right thing in stay out of his way.
  • batmanboy11 - June 18, 2010 12:32 a.m.

From the description I thought you guys would go up to Seagal, and he would brake you. The result was less exciting :(
  • RonaldRayGun - June 17, 2010 11:25 p.m.

    A true movie great...
  • FatDarkPlace - June 17, 2010 11:10 p.m.

More importantly, who was the female that was sitting next to Segal, and scattered like a deer when the camera light shone on the couple?? Classic
  • shyfonzie - June 17, 2010 10:55 p.m.

He looked like the lion in a BBC documentary staring unimpressed at the camera
  • KaiokenKid - June 17, 2010 10:51 p.m.

lol, is steven seagal really hot shit enough to where you cant approach him? really? WTF has teh man done lately? oh, a crappy police show.
  • superstud - June 17, 2010 10:34 p.m.

Mr. Anista you are the least entertaining person I have ever seen in front of a camera.
