Death Tank

Great game, terrible price

Words: on March 13, 2009

Part remake and part total reboot of the original Saturn minigame, Death Tank is a superb real-time twist on Worms (or the classic PC game Scorched Earth) and one of Live Arcade’s best online games. But it’s disgracefully overpriced. At 800 points this would be essential - but the 1,200 point asking price is a no-no.

Still, the concept is golden. Four tanks spawn at once, each with a simple goal: blow the other three tanks to Hell. You earn points for the damage you do and for being the last tank left alive, which you can spend on upgrades (shields, thrusters, nuclear warheads) to use in the rounds to come. It's effortless to understand and nearly impossible to quit.

Death Tank Zwei (which originally had that great song) is a hidden game in this Death Tank. Unfortunately they didn't include the song with it! Madness..

And yeah, 1200points is much too much :(

Too true about wanting the song back. The auto aim irritates me as well, shouldn't be in. Loving it though

How I wish it had the old 5-second-long, death-metal theme song..
