Here's one game we can finally remove from the bloated "Fall 2006" release calendar. Final Fantasy XII will hit retail shelves on October 31, just in time for everyone to go out and party for Halloween, then crawl home to use November 1 as a glorious detox/RPG day.
In addition to the standard $50 version, GameStop and EB Games will carry a $60 Collector's Edition, jam-packed with exclusive content. The extra Hamilton will get you special packaging and a DVD featuring interviews, galleries and Final Fantasy series highlights. For our extensive FFXII coverage, head here.
The game's already bagging some seriously high scores overseas and has sold more than 2.4 million copies in Japan since March 16. Just more proof that there will never be a true, final Fantasy.
