Bloodborne welcomes The Old Hunters in new expansion

Update: The PlayStation Blog lists a November 24 release date and $20 price tag for The Old Hunters, as well as a few story details. As you might expect, The Old Hunters will focus on ... the old Hunters; monster hunters from a bygone era in Yharnam's tainted history.

Original story: Bloodborne's menagerie of grotesque creatures is getting bigger with an expansion, called "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters." Speaking at PlayStation's Tokyo Game Show press conference this morning, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio president Shuhei Yoshida described The Old Hunters as a "full-scale" expansion, fit to launch in the wake of the PS4 game's 2 million sales and positive reviews.

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters, will feature new environments and bosses, all drawn in the same Hammer-horror-meets-Cthulhu style that made From Software's action game so distinct and disturbing.

Yoshida announced a December 3rd release date for The Old Hunters in Japan, where it will also be released in a special package containing the original Bloodborne. We're keeping an eye out for US and European confirmations.
