Battlefield 4 reveal coming March 26

Electronic Arts plans media event for next in shooter series

Electronic Arts will cap your control points all over again when it unveils Battlefield 4 at GDC. The publisher sent out invitations which more explicitly confirmed it will reveal the next in the the first-person series on March 26.

Electronic Arts chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen confirmed Battlefield 4 is coming to PlayStation 4 at a conference last month, Polygon reports. It's a solid guess that it will also appear on the next Xbox, PC, and likely even current-gen systems.

So... Am I the only one here still waiting for them to make a Bad Company 3?

Biannual releases don't bother me, but they JUST released the last DLC. But hey, as long as they change it up a bunch. Not that graphics are everything, but I wonder how they're going to top BF3's fidelity. I hope they make the weapons feel much more differentiated.

Maybe you guys should use www.google.com

The reveal is that it'll use the same servers as Sim City

Great. Battlefield has become the new COD.

When was the last Battlefield? When was the last CoD? BF is not quite CoD.

Plus, they postponed/killed their answer to CoD's annual release, which was Medal of Honor. Thank GOD.

I never played Medal of Honor, nor do I have any interest. All I know is that BF3 is the best multiplayer shooter on consoles right now, and I'm excited for the next. As much as I hate what EA did with Sim City I have to be honest.

So the teaser IS battlefield 4
  • MasterBP - March 15, 2013 5:36 p.m.

Way too early for a Battlefield 4 in my opinion.

2 years, something i think we're going to have to get used to. what i'm more curious about is what they're going to poop out instead of medal of honor to keep up in the annual shooter race.
  • Child Of Death - March 15, 2013 9:23 p.m.

It is too early. I will just stick to BF3
  • Sinosaur - March 15, 2013 11:07 p.m.

I kind of want to just stick to BF:BC2.

Couldn't agree more. I still play BF3 like it just came out. Unless they have an entirely new engine that's leaps ahead of the one for BF3 (and I can't remember the name), I'm not really sure how it's going to be better. I appreciate the BF series because it's not a run of the mill, sequel shooter. If you showed me a 5 second clip of the multiplayer from one of the Modern warfare games, I'd have absolutely no idea which one I was looking at. I hope that doesn't start to happen with Dice's games.

Yeah, unless it were to go the 2142 route (which judging by that poster, it isn't, unless that tank turns into a robot), im just gonna be on BF3.
  • obviouslyadouche - March 15, 2013 5:11 p.m.

Is it really a reveal if it's already been revealed multiple times?
  • Inthedistrict - March 16, 2013 5:44 p.m.

Call it a Playstation reveal...otherwise known as a tease of a tease.
