A new Ghostbusters game. Do we even care?

The first Ghostbusters game was terrible

This won’t be the first Ghostbusters game to hit the market. Activision released a game to tie in with the first movie at around the time of its release, but it was, frankly, an agonising experience. Between 1980s home computer technology and some staggeringly inept and rushed design, the level of fun involvedwas akin to pulling one’s own teeth out with one’s own fingers. Through one’s own eye sockets.

David Houghton
Long-time GR+ writer Dave has been gaming with immense dedication ever since he failed dismally at some '80s arcade racer on a childhood day at the seaside (due to being too small to reach the controls without help). These days he's an enigmatic blend of beard-stroking narrative discussion and hard-hitting Psycho Crushers.
