The console generation was one hell of a blast. We must prepare ourselves for what the next has in store for us. There were a lot of awesome games this generation with all those moments. I wonder if you'll do an exact opposite of worst moments, like Megaman not being in Marvel vs Capcom 3 :P Kind of lacking in Nintendo stuff, Wii sports just doesnt cut it alone. Super Mario Galaxy in general(DAT END TO SLIMY SPRING GALAXY IN GALAXY 2), Brawl's Reveal trailer in 06, Twilight Princess but considering it was split for both GC and Wii it might not count and more. Groose's out-of-nowhere Character Development for Skyward Sword is one of my personal favorite moments.

Ending of the Prime trilogy, Kirby Epic Yarn nominated for best graphics, the return of the Kongs, also knowing that 8-bit Megaman was the best. But yeah I think there was a move to cinematic experiences and mainly having more immersion in games. Still sad this gen Zelda was lackluster, maybe if it got released a year or two before than when it did.

Both Twilight and Skyward were great and amazing on their own rights, i guess it rubbed you the wrong way, sorry to hear you thought it was lackluster, thats unfortunate.

It's hard for me to replay that game, since it takes a lot of time to reach the good parts. Also the backtracking felt as an excuse to pad the game's length. At least with Twilight Princess it gets more freedom after the third dungeon. It's more or less what I felt with Dream Team, having to do a lot of things to progress just a little bit.

I understand. It wasnt the backtracking that bugged me about Skyward sword but rather the overworld sky was unneccesarily empty, hell, after i got rid of that Black Cloud whirlwind or whatever it was, i thought more areas wouldve been unlocked. Otherwise going back to the old places to find new areas entirely to play through was a neat idea but i guess the approach couldve been better. As for Twilight, i enjoyed its open world, but there are people complaining it was TOO BIG AND EMPTY, despite them complaining about Skyward Sword not having an open world

Well they are right, but it at least had a sense of scale with it's environments. Something I thought Skyward Sword lacked. In TP it felt less confined, and also it's kind of shameful that game had a day/night cycle and Skyward Sword had that limited too.
  • shawksta - October 19, 2013 1:09 p.m.

Skyward Sword indeed lacked an Open world, it was linear but the worlds itself had a little depth but either way it was confined. Yeah your right about the cycle, Skyward only did it when you slept and it was in general only for Skyloft, as you cant go ride your loftwing at night, the only major moment for that was when Zelda was taken and you had no other lead than to follow Fi.

Trying to cause as much mayhem as possible in Just Cause 2. Also piloting a jet for the first time in Battlefield 3 (for me at least).

Reaching the king's room in The Unfinished Swan. Restoring life/harmony/whatever to the land in PoP 2008 (yes, yes, Okami. I know.) Scooter telling you that Moxxi's his mom so you treat her nice or he'll kill you and bury your body next to Lucky's yeah he killed him like he said he would don't look so surprised...

Must say I only had like... maybe 15 of these moments. My favorite being the Enslaved one.

There was a typo on the killing dragons in Skyrim. It says Elders Scrolls IV, but Skyrim was V.

Going into an online LBP level and seeing a mind blowing, completely user created masterpiece. Or a fully functional calculator. Your first match of Uncharted 2 multiplayer when you realize that instead of just shooting people, you can climb up a ledge behind them, grab their ankle, and pull them off sending them to their death. Conversely, seeing a guy climbing up to where you are, waiting until they get to the top, and kicking them in the face and knocking them to their death.
