3DS XL Circle Pad Pro on sale in US on Friday

The 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro will finally enter circulation in the U.S., as Nintendo's put up the awaited accessory on its store page. It'll cost $20, the same price as its smaller cousin.

The XL Circle Pad Pro will begin shipping on Friday, ending its exclusive run in Japan. The devices work on any system regardless of region, but at least you'll save on shipping if you just have to get some twin-stick Resident Evil Revelations on the XL's embiggened screen.

Speaking of good 3DS news, check out our fresh hands-on previews of the new Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.

CORRECTION: This article previously indicated you could use a Circle Pad Pro to play Kid Icarus: Uprising with both sticks. It actually just lets you play with the stylus in your left hand. We apologize for the error.

This never should have happened. Right out of Product design, the 3DS should have had a second analog.

You actually can't play Kid Icarus: Uprising with dual sticks. The circle pad pro was just so lefties could use the touchscreen easier.

I was just thinking the same thing... and feeling unending disappointment.
