The Game of Thrones season 7 premiere has passed with all of the moody meetings, Hound c-bombs and, umm, Ed Sheeran cameos we’ve come to expect from Westeros’ finest, but you want a taste of what happens next week, don’t you? If that isn’t the best 20 seconds of your week (no jokes please) then I don’t know what is. It’s got it all: Winterfell and King’s Landing reacting to the incoming storm that is the Mother of Dragons, one of the Sand Snakes going all stabby (and Ellaria Sand getting smoochy with Yara Greyjoy), and Littlefinger getting choked out. Woo.
That’s without diving into the crux of the 20 seconds (seriously, how did they fit this much in?!) with Yara proclaiming, “We should hit King’s Landing now.” Something tells me things won’t exactly be moving at a glacial pace next episode, after the more measured tempo of the premiere.
So 20 seconds… 3 times a minute. You’ve only got another 30,240 times to watch it until next week.
