The Witcher 3 has already had a sizeable patch on PC that fixes a number of issues and a console version is coming soon. Amongst other tweaks, Patch 1.03 has improved performance, better frame-rates - an issue we noted in our The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt review - and the removal of a bug that meant you could shoot bolts at friendly NPCs (oops, sorry...).

Community manager at CD Projekt Red Marcin Momot has confirmed on Twitter that the studio is working on the patch and although it won't be this week, it will fix as many issues as possible. "We're working on addressing what we can," he stated. "We collect everything the community is reporting." Listed on the Witcher official site, you can see the full list of fixes below.
Patch 1.03 includes:
• Improves stability in gameplay and the UI
• Improves performance especially in cutscenes and gameplay
• Fixes grass and foliage popping that could occur after density parameters were changed
• Improves Nvidia Hairworks performance
• Boosted texture anisotropy sampling to 16x on
• Ultra preset Sharpen Post-process settings extended from Off/On to Off/Low/High
• Blood particles will now properly appear after killing enemies on the water
• Corrects a bug where player was able to shoot bolts at friendly NPCs
• Improves menu handling
• Corrects an issue with Stamina regeneration while sprinting
• Fixes a cursor lock issue that sometimes occcured when scrolling the map
• Generally improves world map focus
• Improves input responsiveness when using keyboard
• Corrects some missing translations in the UI
• Corrects an issue in dialogue selections
• Rostan Muggs is back
• Minor SFX improvements
