Quantum Break is both an Xbox One game and a TV show

At this morning's Xbox One reveal, Remedy Entertainment took the stage to show off their newest project: Quantum Break. The first trailer started with a live-action scene revolving around a precocious little girl. But this is no average girl--she has the power todo something. We have to imagine it's the ability to see into the future, because as she reaches out to a nearby woman, the scene quickly shifted.
We then saw a cataclysmic sight--a colossal ship breaking through an overpass, flipping or crushing cars and reinforced steel in its wake. As the girl gazes out of a car window, we've given a message: "Time is the fire in which we burn." We then caught a glimpse of the person who looked to be the protagonist. He looks to be a police officer, who may or may not have domain over the sands of time himself.
According to Microsoft's official press release, Quantum Break "blurs the line between gaming and TV by integrating drama and gameplay into one seamless, uniquely immersive experience." This sounds nearly identical to the route taken by Defiance, Trion World's action MMO that has ties to the SyFy show of the same name. That means that this trailer might've exposed two main characters--the little girl of the live-action TV show, and the virtual time-cop of the game. In line with the dream that Defiance is currently chasing, Quantum Break will allow the TV and game worlds to interact. It's not announced which network will host the televised content of Quantum Break, but Remedy is sure to announce more as the game reaches completion.
