New poster for The Lucky One arrives

A new poster has been released for Scott Hicks’ love story The Lucky One , featuring High School Musical’ s Zac Efron gazing into the eyes of actress Taylor Schilling.

Adapted from the novel by Dear John writer Nicholas Sparks, The Lucky One stars Efron as Logan Thibault, a US Marine who finds a picture of a woman in the sands of Iraq, and comes to think of the photo as his lucky charm.

Once his time in Iraq comes to an end, Logan goes to search for the woman in the photograph.

It sounds like it has all the standard trappings of a Sparks adaptation, so here's hoping The Lucky One will be more The Notebook , less Dear John . A new featurette has also been released; you can watch it above.
