Wanna see what mobile games came out this week? Here are 10 of the best.

When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission. Here’s how it works.

What's out for mobile this week?

What's out for mobile this week?

This week proves that even console games can eventually make it on mobile devices. They may be a bit late in getting there, but just think--in the future, we may get games like The Last of Us completely playable on our phones. Until then, have a look at some of this week's titles and download some nostalgia while you're at it.

So grab your phone, tablet, or trusty thingamabob and start heading to the App Store or Google Play. Will you confirm purchase? We think you should.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 ($2.99)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 ($2.99)

Ever hear of one of those scrapped stages that never made it into the final version of Sonic 2? The mobile version of this Genesis classic doesn't just include touchscreen controls and a widescreen view, but it finally makes Hidden Palace Zone fully available for everyone to Spin Dash through. If youre itching for some 90s nostalgia or just want some more Sonic (or Tails and Knuckles) in your life, why not give it a go?

Sensei Wars (Free)

Sensei Wars (Free)

Sensei Wars is your typical town-building game with a twist. Not only do you need to concentrate on expanding your village by producing resources, but you also need to wage war against enemy Mongol units that will occasionally attack you. Each time you enter in combat, warriors join your Sensei on the battlefield, can be powered up, and learn new abilities the more your village grows. If you learn one thing from playing Sensei Wars its that you never want to piss off a monk.

GTA San Andreas ($6.99)

GTA San Andreas ($6.99)

Before Franklin, Michael, and Trevor there was one only man that ruled the streets of Los Santos and his name was CJ. This mobile version of GTA San Andreas takes the same open-world game that first hit PlayStation 2 back in 2004 and updates it with new visuals, lighting, and controls that are perfect for when you want to kill a few Ballas in between calls. Of course, you could always just stuff your face at the Cluckin' Bell and get really fat. No ones judging you.

Dark District (Free)

Dark District (Free)

Taking place in a dystopian society on a distant planet, Dark District adds some combat-infused action to the city-building genre. Grow your district by building factories to increase resources and train soldiers and then wage war on neighboring factions for dominance. Once battle starts, you can choose what towers or enemy units you want to attack first which adds strategy to your campaign. You can build alliances with other in-game factions or wage war on your friends in a PvP multiplayer mode too. Weve all watched enough dystopian movies to know how important it is to stay alive.

Jungle Man Strike (Free)

Jungle Man Strike (Free)

When Jungle Mans plane crashes in the middle of a monster-infested jungle, all he can do is keep them at bay until help arrives. This frantic arcade game requires you to tap monsters as they come at you from both sides of the screen. Youll need to have fast fingers to tap projectiles that they throw at you or to pick up power-ups that let you unleash your rage on multiple enemies. With pets, costumes, and more things to unlock, Jungle Man is a great for when youre killing some time or also waiting to be rescued.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Free)

Leave it to Lego to not only summarize the entire Star Wars saga but do it in its signature comedic style. Use the Force to break down blocks as you make your way through each chapter, from the origins of Darth Vader to his final hours. Reworked touched-based controls give you the same console experience but in a more mobile-friendly style. Episode I is free, and we promise it gets better from there.

Conjurer: Awoken (Free)

Conjurer: Awoken (Free)

More than just another tower defense game, Conjurer: Awoken follows the story of a guilt-ridden wizard trying to make amends after he summons demons into the world. Each level presents you with waves of creatures to take down using not only towers, but your own magic spells and abilities to assist you in combat too. Your towers also provide you with mana, so you need to remember to keep them standing or else perish at the hands of the evil you brought onto yourself. Karma sucks, doesn't it?
