Matt is now a freelance journalist and editor, generating copy across a multitude of industries.

38 Studios and Big Huge Games are forging a new adventure for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, this time pitting players against a race of giants in a chapter called Teeth of Naros. We can't spot any actual teeth in today's batch of screenshots, but they definitely give Amalur fans a lot to chew on.

Teeth of Naros is the name of DLC's main location; a land named for an ancient troll god that now plays home to the devout race of giants called the Kollosse. The expansion will feature five new dungeons, 20 fresh side quests, new gear, weapons, and a floating dubbed Idylla which is one of the locations featured in today's new images.

The new DLC will be ready to download starting April 17 on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points, and on PlayStation Network and Steam for $9.99. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning's first DLC, The Legend of Dead Kel, was released last month. We found it to be a solid example of DLC at its finest, but with one big caveat. Read our mixed review in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning: The Legend of Dead Kel DLC: Worth a purchase?
