Video game music has pretty officially "made it." On May 30 the London Symphony Orchestra will host Final Symphony London, a performance selected from the Final Fantasy series, including FF VI, VII, and X.
Final Symphony will be the first live performance of video game music for the orchestra, which you may be familiar with for scoring Star Wars and Indiana Jones and otherwise being one of those big fancy orchestras high-falootin' folks like. Series composers Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauza composed and arranged the performance, and will be on-hand for autographs and--let's be honest--tears of musical joy.
Tickets range from £30 to £65 for the performance at London's Barbican Hall, and can be purchased from its website.
