Batman: Arkham Origins won't star Kevin Conroy

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar.

Batman's had plenty of performers behind the mask. But for the generation that grew up on Batman: The Animated Series, none are more beloved than voice actor Kevin Conroy.
While his contributions to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City were key, Warner Bros. Interactive has decided to move on for Batman: Arkham Origins younger Bruce Wayne, according to NAG Magazine (via Kotaku).
Since Origins is, well, an origin story it makes sense to bring in a younger actor--Batman has yet to earn Conroy's signature gruffness. But with Conroy, Joker voice actor Mark Hamill, series developer Rocksteady, and writer Paul Dini all departed, it seems the party's over even though Warner Bros. Interactive is still wearing a lampshade.
