Join SFX and a line-up of great guests: this weekend in our home city
It's almost upon us! Remember to join us at Bath’s Masonic Hall for the Comic And Sci-Fi Weekender , an opportunity for sci-fi and comic enthusiasts to mingle and meet guests, as well as participate in a range of exciting activities.
The Bath Comic and Sci-Fi Weekender
28-29 September, Bath's Masonic Hall, 12 Old Orchard Street, Bath
It's organised by American Dream Comics and Roundstone Framing with support from the likes of Tripwire , Skywalkers Promotions and of course SFX . The team from your favourite mag be taking to the stage at 1pm on Saturday 28 September to run a panel about getting into sci-fi magazines and movie journalism, hosted by Richard Edwards .
Confirmed guests include comic book artists Gary Erskine, who has previously worked for Marvel and DC; comic artist and writer Mike Collins who has worked in the industry for over 20 years on titles such as Spider-Man , X-Men and Transformers ; Gordon Rennie ( White Trash ); Emma Beeby (the first woman to write for the Dredd comics); SF artist Jim Burns, and John Higgins ( Watchmen ). John Chapman from Star Wars will be attending the show and many others are being signed up all the time. There'll also be sessions including the opportunity to play Laser Tag - that’s right, an inflatable Quasar Laser Tag will be available all weekend, included in the ticket price. There will also be game tournaments, a cosplay competition with prizes and a Star Wars exhibition.
