Last week we’d heard from a reliable source that Sonic Generations' 3DS release had slipped into 2012. Given Sega’s recent history of delaying 3DS games it seemed possible and Sega was slow to respond if the game would make it out around the same time as the console versions of Generations. At last Sega finally cleared things up today, as its blog officially clarified the launch date as November 22 in the US and November 25 in UK/Europre.

We’re really glad to see it’s still on track, as we’ve been hearing good things about the game. GR’s resident expert in all things Sonic, Justin Towell, really ejoyed his time with the 3DS version, noting Generations 3D was its own game instead of a watered-down port of the 360/PS3/PC release. Though it’ll go on sale three weeks after the console versions, it’s good to see that Sega didn’t delay at least one 3DS game it’s publishing.
