Ratchet & Clank will hit the silver screen in 2015. The eclectic-gun-toting duo and friends are being made into a feature film for theaters by Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment, series creator Insomniac Games announced on the PlayStation Blog today.
T.J. Fixman, who has penned several recent Ratchet & Clank games will write the script. Insomniac will be hands-on with the screenplay and production, alongside digital media firm Blockade and Rainmaker, best known for producing Escape from Planet Earth and the ReBoot animated series as Mainframe Entertainment.
A PlayStation Network sale on the series is planned to begin April 30 to celebrate the announcement. No news on the PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault or the HD remake of Ratchet: Deadlocked, sadly.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar+.
