PlayStation VR's Anywhere VR is a virtual chill out room where you can check your phone

Picture the scene. You've got your head in PlayStation VR playing Resident Evil 7 but simultaneously need to know what's going on in the world of Twitter. Maybe you need a rest from all the horror too. Well, aren't you in luck? Announced at Sony's TGS conference this morning, Anywhere VR will let you use your smartphone in the comfort of virtual reality.

I imagine it will only be on Sony phones as it's coming from Sony Music but Anywhere VR will let you check your phone in a variety of relaxing spaces. Beaches, fields of flowers and waterfall pools are all available in a virtual 3D world. It's a bit of an odd one but points to Sony for trying out some new experimental additions. It's also planning live concert experiences. Personally I'm most looking forward to PS4's cinema mode that'll let you watch all of your movies etc on a massive screen.
