Orlando Bloom has broken his silence over whether he’ll return for an appearance in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit movies.
While other Lord Of The Rings cast members have confirmed their involvement in the prequel (Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood), Bloom’s kept quiet over rumours of his return.
So is he actually coming back for more Middle Earth action as elf Legolas?
“Yeah, it’s looking like that,” Bloom tells Collider . “I’m really excited about going to see Pete [ Jackson ] again. It’s still a little up in the air, but the idea of working with Pete is fantastic.
“I can’t actually really talk too much about it, at this point. I just was given the script to piece through, so it’s quite exciting.”
Bloom wouldn’t be drawn much further on the film, though he joked that his preparation for the role would just involve growing “my hair really long and blonde again”.
If Bloom signs on, we’ll have almost half the principal cast of LOTR returning, with the notable absences of Hobbits Samwise, Merry and Pippin as well as Gimli the dwarf, Aragorn and elf Arwen.
