Moto GP and WRC developer, Milestone has announced its new racer, Ride, is coming to Xbox One and PS4. The bike-heavy title will let players bang around on the real-life circuits from 15 locations around the world. You’ll even be able to customise your bikes and riders down to the finest details.
It all looks a bit like Forza and Gran Turismo, which can only be a good thing. And it seems Milestone are aiming for that meticulous attention to simulation detail, as all the vehicles have been designed to closely match the real thing.

Pretty impressive, huh?
Ride will feature 100 real bike models across four categories: Superbikes, Supersports, Historic Bikes and the sexy sounding Naked Bikes. Phwoar!
You’ll be able to customises engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions and wheels to really make your bike your own. You can even determine where your rider sits on the bike to really squeeze through tight bends. We doubt Ride will let you sit on the handlebars, mind.
All customisation bits and pieces will be purchased through Ride’s in-game currency that you can use on or offline. Speaking of which, you’ll be able to race offline in split-screen mode for two players and online with up to 12 racers at once.

Ride does sound promising. We just hope it doesn’t doesn’t stick its head up its own exhaust pipe when it comes to catering for non-bike fanatics.
Ride arrives on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 20, 2015.
