The Tate's latest project might give you an art attack

Londons most famous art collection, the Tate, has launched a project to turn its paintings into Minecraft maps for visitors to explore. Each map is designed to offer a playful way to discover the artwork and have fun while learning a little of the history, meaning and reason behind why the artwork is in a museum in the first place, says Adam Clarke, the lead artist and project director behind the idea.

The series begins with Andr Derains The Pool of London (pictured), and Christopher Nevinsons painting of New York, Soul of the Soulless City. Six more will follow in the coming months. To download and explore them yourself, head over to the Tates website.

Tower Bridge is home to a puzzle where you find keys to lock the doors on the bridges columns. Complete it and youll be granted ochre pigment.

One of the maps is based on The Pool of London (1906) by Andr Derain. Youll help the painter find his pigments by solving puzzles.
