Mercenaries 2: World in Flames tips

Monster Truck

When you go to find Eva the mechanic, she will have you test drive the car she has been working on. You'll have to run a check-point race, but after, you'll be able to purchase the car from her.

Unlockable Costumes

To unlock Costumes you must complete level 3 of a weapon challenge, this can be done by talking to Fiona at your PMC, Each time you complete a level 3 weapon challenge you will receive one of three costumes.

Unlock Costumes - Beat a level three of a weapon challenge. Every time you beat one of the challenges you'll unlock one of the three costumes.

Money

Basically, Make the UP hostile, and then go to the PMC. Go across the street and look for the Fuel icons on your map. Go there kill every PMC Merc. You get $5000 per kill so let them call in backup and stuff. Note: this only works if they are hostile or Neutral towards you. It may not be much money, but each time you start playing the game do that and then go do whatever else you were going to do.

Also if you are ever doing the HVT missions, if they are UP its the same thing: $5000 per kill.

Easy Money

There is a glitch in the winching challenge wager that causes the game to change depending on how much money you have. If you keep doing the Level 3 winching challenge, and changing the wager to highest, you can get money for virtually no work. You don't even have to make it reach the correct height. Just stack the three crates in a pile with one on top of the other, put the toolbox on top (sorry, not actually a spare parts box - we checked), then wait for a few seconds and you'll get the money.

Billboard Fun

After you have unlocked the P.L.A.V. faction and hopefully a gunship (such as a Castro V Attack chopper or an Anaconda from the pirates) with rockets, I would recommend going to the city of Merida and shooting the billboards. You earn a tiny bit of cash (5k), but if you shoot enough of them you begin to unlock more shop items from the P.L.A.V.

I also noted getting a few things from the U.P mercs in their city. It only takes 1 rocket from a gunship to destroy those pesky billboards. Again, I would highly recommend an Anaconda from the pirates, they have like 80 rockets, and its easy to unlock from pirates after a few outpost captures and doing those delivery missions.

Where To Buy Nuclear Bunker Busters

Eva's Garage

I bet some of the pros of this game already know this, but just in case, here is a tip: Complete the last contract of the game and kill Salano, after that just continue your game. Go to Eva and she should now sell Nuclear Bunker Busters.

P.S. Watch those nukes, they get very vicious and level a large area as well as obliterate most vehicles. But be warned, they cost 1 mil each.

"In To The Green Zone" Tips

When you are at the mission "in to the green zone" go to the store and buy a helicopter then go out of the store and take the helicopter and fly to the vip and your done!

Car Bomb

If you want to blow something up from a distance but don't have the fuel or the munitions, just put some C4 on your car. Drive toward your target, get to max speed, jump out and detonate when the car is close enough.

Flip A Vehicle Over

If your vehicle is upside down, you can flip it over by hitting it with your gun or throwing a grenade at it.

Faction Friendly Fuel

To steal fuel tanks without being caught, pilot a chopper to a friendly camp and winch a fuel tank. The faction won't attack because you are only moving the fuel. Take the fuel to a neutral spot, away from camp. Land and steal the fuel with no penalty.

Alternate Swimming Underwater

Get a Trinton boat and go full speed and then exit and jump in front of the boat and it will suck you under the boat.

Cool Glitch

This works about 90% of the time. Simply 'tag' an airstrike ready for pick up, but don't call it in. Simply run away from it until it tells you on screen that you have acquired it. Go back and there will be another one spawned already. It's much better if there is another airstrike nearby because you can then run from one to the other and collect a massive amount of stuff.

Scope Cheat For Regular Weapons

if you use the .50 cal rifle and enter scoped mode then change weapon with the D pad to your alternate gun, you will still use the changed gun with the addition of a scope!

Spinning Turret

first get on a vehicle with a gun and spin it. While spinning, get off the gun and it will still be spinning.

Submarine

First enter the cheat for infinite health (Left, right, left, right, up, down, up, down) Next, find a tank, then take it to the ocean. Turn the gun on the tank around, so it's facing the back end of the tank. Then drive it backwards into the ocean. You can now drive the tank underwater.

Swimming Underwater

While flying any helicopter you can crash it into the water and exit then grapple on to it. While grappled on to it, you will sink to the bottom and for a short amount of time you will be able to swim underwater.

Repair Vehicle Instantly

If you enter a building and then exit any vehicle you have left outside will be fully repaired.
