Left 4 Dead 2 is resurrected via Xbox One backwards compatibility

Well, that was fast. Not a day after announcing that Halo Wars, Soul Calibur 2 HD Online, and King of Fighters '98 were available via Xbox One backwards compatibility, Microsoft has revealed that Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 is also now playable on Xbox One.

While the first Left 4 Dead is not yet backwards compatible, don't let that stop you from joining the fun. These games are less about story, more about mowing down hordes of infected with three friends at your side. Or, if you play competitively, it's about being part of the horde, slaughtering your pals as you cackle maniacally. Okay, so maybe that's just my experience.

Still, it's a super fun game, and if you don't already own a copy, remember you can now buy Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.
