It's Grim Fandango meets Office Space- a tongue-in-cheek adventure game about grey-collar drudgery. You're Doug, and you work for Edgecom, "although our products have nothing to do with either communication or edges." You escape the mind-numbing dullness of your job by fantasizing about your favorite comic book character, the Solid Snake-a-like "Mongoose," and towards the end of your adventure, fantasy overtakes reality. Weekday Warrior makes no bones about its old-school adventure game logic; characters just tell you outright that they won't, for example, give you their golf pants until you beat them at trashball. But it's wittily written, surprisingly well voice-acted, stylish and engrossing. And it's going to win Best Mod come March, we'd wager.
