Resident Evil

When Capcom decided to rework the original Resident Evil into richly spooky GameCube-o-vision, they went overboard and managed to 'art up' a few rooms that weren't necessary for the finished game. They also gave Jill Valentine some karate animations that ended up on the cutting room floor.

Super Mario 64 DS

Back when the game was known as Super Mario 64x4, the four-player link-up potential of this N64 conversion was its main selling point. Early screens showed four characters flying around the castle grounds, taunting the Chain Chomp in the battlefield and meeting Bowser in a featureless grey room. None of this made the finished version.
