There's a new robotic enemy floating around in Arc Raiders, thanks to the Flashpoint Update update, and players are getting literally vaporized. The Vaporizer, a low-hanging drone, is punishing almost anyone who steps up - but methods of attack are starting to emerge.
Vaporizers tend to stalk the map in pairs, particularly guarding Arc Raiders Close Scrutiny Assessors, though one is still plenty dangerous. Since the mechanical menace's arrival, people have been getting melted in the hopes of trying to figure out how to kill it.
"I got vaporized! The new Arc obliterated me in my first encounter with it," says one Redditor, who posted a clip of them getting torched by the flying threat without making much of a dent. Another video shared on Reddit serves as a reminder to always watch your back, as the user takes on a Vaporizer from what they thought was decent cover, only for two of the monstrosities to circle around and come from behind and kill them.

Its primary offensive maneuver is a simple laser. Once it hits, it does heavy damage and sets you on fire. Ruthless, and difficult to recover from. Another player got to see several raiders take on three of the enemies on an open plain, as they scurried around for pressure loot. No survivors. "Humanity definitely losing the battle so far," the poster says, and it's hard to argue.
On the flip side, someone managed to figure out how to dismantle Vaporizers, but it takes some real guts. He manages to get above the drone, then drop onto it, and secure a Deadline onto its exterior. He then hops off, gets cover, and lets the fireworks fly. Smart and effective, but relying quite a bit on luck. "I think I just peaked," he states. I agree!
But a win is a win. The Arc Raiders community will find other ways of pushing back in time. Until then, the heat stays on high.
