Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has given the web a colorful new Nintendo hunk to shamelessly swoon over – Hugh Morris, a literal clown

Now that we know Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is set to launch this April, people are understandably more excited than ever – and a large reason why actually falls on one of the Mii characters Nintendo chose to feature in its recent release date trailer.

You already probably know I'm talking about Hugh Morris, don't you? For anyone out of the loop on this silly guy, he's a clown/jester-coded Mii that appears as a love interest (of literally every other Mii) in Nintendo's new trailer. He cracks silly jokes, features quirky behaviour, and somehow captures the hearts of every resident showcased – and, apparently, every fan watching him in real life, too (myself included, honestly).

Left or Right? from r/tomodachilife

I mean, just look at him, right? There are memes popping up left and right, with one user on Reddit going as far as crafting an entire fake Tinder profile for Hugh (whose name obviously resembles "humorous" in full, hehe… get it?).

"Left or right," they question, asking fellow fans whether or not they would swipe to date him or reject him. "I don't know how Tinder works, whichever is yes," someone responds. Me too, anon. Me too.

Elsewhere on the forum, somebody else's post reads, "so we're all putting Hugh on our island right?" A dedicated Hugh Morris stan replies, "Oh, 100%. He's so silly and whimsical." The chaotic love for this Tomodachi Life clown doesn't end there, though.

A separate thread jokes about "the true best part" of the Living the Dream trailer – and, yes, you guessed it… it's Hugh. Attached is a gif of the charismatic jester in all his vibrant glory.

People are adoring him over on Twitter as well, with some users taking it a little more, er, NSFW. One person asks, "Why is he the most fuckable Mii on the island?" Another responds, "I get it, tbh." The comments are even funnier, with a fan writing, "Have you seen him?" In other words, the entire world needs Hugh Morris, and they need him now. The wait for April 16 will no doubt be a long one, eh?

I'm personally just disappointed that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has placed restrictions on screenshot sharing – but perhaps it's a good thing that players' moments with Hugh will, uh, remain private… Perhaps.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream won't allow Mii and item sharing or any real online functionality at all, and I think I need Hugh Morris to cheer me up
