EverSiege: Untold Ages is a co-op rogue-like where the horde comes to you, and it's launching into early access later this year, but you can play it right now

Defense-focused multiplayer roguelike EverSiege: Untold Ages is running a playtest right now and will launch into early access this fall, as revealed during the Future Games Show at gamescom.

Created by developer Tindalos Interactive, EverSiege: Untold Ages sees you assuming the role of a supercharged, bestial warrior tasked with breaking the unending siege on Bastion, the final stronghold in the world. Whether you succeed or fail in your defense, time will be rewound for another attempt that won't be the same as the last. You can play solo or even be joined by up to two other players.

As a roguelike, you'll attempt to break the EverSiege in every run, forcing you to make difficult choices surrounding your character's build but also how you'll repair and rebuild to bolster Bastion's defenses. For example, you can invest your resources in defensive towers to slow attacks, push your frontline forward to gain space, and more.

Defending Bastion successfully will also involve wielding almighty weapons – in the trailer seen at the Future Games Show, you can wield a hefty axe, lethal bow, or rapid daggers – which you can upgrade with elemental Essences, allowing you to craft your own build in each run and find the most potent combinations. You'll also unlock permanent upgrades to carry with you through time in each run you attempt.

As mentioned, EverSiege: Untold Ages will be entering its early access phase this fall on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you're not planning on checking out the current playtest, get it on your wishlist to stay up to date!
