This low-poly horror flight attendant simulator now has a Steam demo, letting you purge demons 30,000ft in the air
We've had to stop the drinks service due to a demonic incursion
Announced at FGS Live from Gamescom, flight attendant simulator from hell, Night Plane, has a new Steam demo that you can play right now.
The game from New Zealand developer Liquid Static and publisher New Tales places you as the sole attendant in charge of a flight – everything except flying the plane is down to you – that might be infested with shapeshifting demons that could cause problems more severe than an emergency landing.
As a Plane Airlines flight attendant, you'll do all the usual stuff: boarding passengers, checking tickets, serving food and drinks, and generally ensuring everyone is comfortable on board. But it's also down to you to weed out these terrifying travelers and remove them from the flight – you only serve humans after all.
It's part Papers, Please, part regular job-sim wrapped up in a diabolic psychological horror travel-safe bag. Question passengers and keep an eye out for strange behaviour, occult occurrences, and uncanny faces. It doesn't help that the game has a generally unsettling vibe thanks to the low-polygon PSX-inspired art style, fitting the fact the game is set in 1999 too.
How you deal with demonic situations also has an impact on the story with irreversible consequences and multiple endings shaping your frightening flight. Whether or not it's more or less scary than the corporate negligence of Plane Airlines is up to you though.
Night Plane is due to launch sometime this fall, but you can play the Steam demo right now! If the demo takes you fancy, be sure to follow the devs on Twitter for any updates on the game's release. Have a safe flight!
