Watch anywhere: Norton VPN (60 day money back guarantee)

If you're looking for how to watch England vs Ghana in the 2026 World Cup everything you need to know is right here. We've also put together a guide on how to watch all the World Cup games for free, and you can find that guide here.

This is England's second group match after playing Croatia last week, and it'll be the first time England and Ghana have played one another in a World Cup.

While England are the favorites in their group and Ghana are ranked 74th overall, that doesn't mean there won't be a surprise in this match: football is hard to predict, and the Ghana squad, aka the Black Stars, have the expertise of manager Carlos Queiroz on their side. He's the second manager in history to coach teams in five consecutive world cups: South Africa in 2022, Portugal in 2010 and Iran three times. The squad also features Antoine Semenyo, one of the Premier League's most impressive performers, who's spent the season testing his skills against many of England's best players.

Unlike last weekend's Scotland match, England fans won't have to stay up late to catch this one: kick-off is at 9am UK time (4pm EST / 6am the following morning for AEST).

As with all World Cup matches the broadcasting and streaming rights are split between multiple organisations depending on where you are in the world, with free streaming in some countries and free trials of paid-for services in others. Here's how to watch England vs Ghana on the 23rd of June (24th in Australia).

How to watch England vs Ghana free around the world

If you've been streaming the World Cup already you'll know that in the UK, the BBC and ITV are splitting the coverage. This match is one of the BBC ones, so you can tune in using the BBC iPlayer app to stream the match for free. In Ireland the free streaming is via the RTE Player, and in Australia you can stream for free with SBS On Demand.

Free World Cup streaming is generally geo-blocked, which means if your computer appears to be located in another country you won't be able to access the stream. Not to worry: you can use a VPN app to make your computer appear as if it's at home, enabling you to catch the match from wherever you are.

  • Australia: SBS On Demand
  • Ireland: RTE Player

If you're going to be away from home for the World Cup, for example because you're in the US attending some of the matches, don't worry: you can use Norton VPN to access your usual streaming provider as if you were still at home. It's very fast, very reliable and really easy to use.

How to watch England vs Ghana in the US

US flag

Unfortunately there's no completely free streaming of the England vs Ghana match in the US, but you can still tune in for free with judicious use of free trials.

The most generous World Cup-friendly free trial is YouTube TV, which offers a 21-day free trial followed by a discounted rate of $54.99 a month for the first three months. That's for the Sports Plan, which gives you all the Fox World Cup matches as well as ESPN, TNT, the NFL Network and more sporting action.

Peacock will be streaming all the matches via the Spanish-language streamer Telemundo, and it'll be doing it with great sound and video: in an industry first it's streaming the World Cup in both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. You need Peacock Premium to get the streams, and if you're not currently a subscriber the cheapest way to get it is to take out a Walmart Plus subscription, which includes Peacock Premium, at just $1 for 30 days. If that doesn't grab you, Peacock Premium is $10.99 a month.

For English-language streaming Fubo has full Fox and FS1 World Cup coverage on its Sports+News package, which costs $55.99 a month. However, there's currently a five-day free trial.

Fox One will be streaming all the matches in 4K on its $19.99 per month plan, which is currently offering three days free.

How to watch England vs Ghana in the UK

The BBC and ITV have been kicking the World Cup back and forward between each other like it was a football, and for this match the ball is in the BBC's half so it's streaming for free on iPlayer. The kick-off is 9pm UK time.

If you're going to be outside the UK while the match is on you may find that you're geoblocked. If you're a UK licence payer you can access your iPlayer streams with the help of Norton VPN, which enables you to stream as if you were at home on the sofa.

How to watch England vs Ghana in Canada

canada vpn streaming

The TSN+ streaming platform is the place for Canadian football fans to watch England vs Ghana. If you won't be home for the match and find yourself geoblocked, you can use Norton VPN to stream normally as if you were in your own front room.

How to watch England vs Ghana in Australia

Australian flag

This is another game where time zones mean Australians will be watching on a different day: what's an afternoon game in the US and an evening one for UK viewers is 6am AEST the following morning in Australia, so that's the 24th of June rather than the 23rd. SBS on Demand will be streaming the match live.

If you won't be in Australia during the match but still want to stream from SBS, we'd recommend Norton VPN for its speed, stability and ease of use.

What time is England vs Ghana?

The England vs Ghana match will begin on Tuesday 23 June at 4pm ET / 9pm BST / 6am AEST (that's Wednesday for viewers in Australia). As with all World Cup games there are two 45-minute halves with a 15-minute interval; however in games so far FIFA has also been having a short "hydration break" in both the first and second half of the matches.

Where is England vs Ghana being played?

The England vs Ghana match will be played in Boston Stadium, Boston, USA.
