Avatar: Aang leaks can't be stopped, as non-watermarked versions of the full movie appear online

If you thought Avatar: Aang leaks couldn't get any worse, think again. The full, non-watermarked version of the animated sequel movie has appeared online.

While we (obviously) won't disclose it here, there have been several full-length versions of Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender doing the rounds on Twitter across April 13 and April 14, indicating that we're in the midst of one of the most high-profile leaks in recent Hollywood history.

A wave of DMCA strikes has invariably ensued, perhaps pointing to the legitimacy of the clips and footage.

Prior to the disastrous leak, one Twitter user claimed he was "accidentally" sent the movie via email, though it's not yet clear if Nickelodeon or Paramount have been the victims of a hack of data breach. Neither party has commented at the time of writing.

It has suddenly soured what should have been a momentous period for the team behind Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender, which wrapped production last month.

"The recent decision to move us from theatrical to streaming might give the impression that the quality wasn’t sufficient, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth," director Lauren Montgomery wrote on Instagram in March. "This movie deserves to be seen on a big screen!!!"

Aang, The Last Airbender takes place several years after the conclusion of the original animated series, complete with a new voice cast as the Gaang come into contact with an ancient airbender. The cast features Eric Nam as Aang, Dionne Quan as Toph, Steven Yeun as Zuko, and Dave Bautista as Airbender Tagah.

Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender hits Paramount Plus on October 9.
