The Possession , the forthcoming horror film produced by Sam Raimi, has released a spooky new motion poster featuring Natasha Calis as a young girl undergoing some rather demonic changes.
The films sees Em (Calis) have her life turned upside down when she buys a mysterious antique box at a local yard sale. All is well until she opens said box, at which point she begins to feel a touch unusual…
Jeffrey Dean Morgan co-stars as her concerned father, who eventually isolates the box as the cause of her distress. He soon discovers that the box is marked by the symbol of a malevolent Hebrew spirit believed to steal the souls of children, and it isn't long before people start winding up dead.
Unlike most motion posters, this one contains quite a lengthy bit of footage, with Calis sounding increasingly distressed as her image begins to shift from frightened little girl to terrifying nether-being. It's definitely one of the creepier ones we've seen!
Directed by Ole Bornedal and co-starring Kyra Sedgwick, The Possession opens in the UK on 31 August 2012. In the meantime you can check out the poster in all its eerie glory, below...
