The Meta Quest 3 is easily one of the best VR headsets out there. Since launch, though, it's got a more affordable sibling in the form of the Quest 3S that brings a lot of the same features and benefits to a better price tag. There's now so much choice when it comes to the Quest 3 range that it's a hard force to compete with. Unfortunately, the more affordable 128GB version has now all but disappeared since Meta sunset the model. Is Meta Quest worth buying?
The Quest headsets are definitely worth buying, especially if you keep your eyes peeled for Meta Quest 3 deals and bundles. The Quest 2 is still a pretty excellent way to introduce yourself to VR gaming. While its specs and features are great, and price low, it has an amazing library of games for you to play too. The Quest 3 is probably the best pound-for-pound standalone VR headset you can buy right now - especially since Apple Vision Pro is so expensive.
What is the lowest price for Meta Quest 3?
The lowest price we've seen the Meta Quest 3 drop to in the US is $471 at Amazon in the US. Remember, the Quest 3 initially launched to the tune of $649, so you're really getting it at a bargain at its new price of $499. Of course, there used to be a more affordable 128GB model, but since the arrival of the Quest 3S which costs $299, that device has been discontinued. Luckily, a 128GB model and 256GB size of the Quest 3S are here to make up the storage difference.
Is Meta Quest+ worth it?
Meta Quest+ is the new subscription service for the Quest headsets, and it works very similarly to the likes of PlayStation Plus. Each month you're a paying subscriber, you'll get free games to play that will be added to your library. During its launch window, the Meta Quest 3 512GB model could frequently be found with Meta Quest vouchers, and a 6-month subscription to Meta Quest+. If you don't already own many Meta Quest games, then a subscription could certainly be worth the money you pay for it.
