Transformers: Fall of Cybertron trailer deconstructed in new Behind The Scenes clip
How'd they get them robots to walk around like people? (Spoiler: computers)
The trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron managed to distinguish itself as Transformers clips go. Eschewing very much actual transforming, the clip's focus on the robots themselves lent a surprisingly human tone to what's literally just 90 seconds of bits of metal smashing into each other. How'd High Moon Studios get you to care about the connection between two automobiles with ideas above their station?
High Moon's Dave Tieger, Game Director on the title, promises that you've seen far from all Fall of Cybertron has to offer in this trailer, which seems like a valid promise: by delivering a clip that's heavy on moody action and battlefield pathos, the studio's sidestepped the common tendency to reveal everything in the pre-release campaign. Then again, with an entire year to go until the game's released, there's still plenty of time to drip-feed further glimpses of what Fall of Cybertron has in store.
