Sony sold 5.7 million PS4s over Christmas

There's not a lot to say here other than Sony announced it's sold 5.7 million PS4s "during the 2015 holiday season". That brings the grand total up to 35.9 million consoles sold globally, as of January 3. In that same holiday period the PS4 also shifted 35 million games through retail and downloads.

The Sony Computer Entertainment boss did have the obligatory press release quote to throw in which, if nothing else, reiterates The Last Guardian is still a thing that's happening this year.

"We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver innovative entertainment experiences, and look forward to bringing an unprecedented games portfolio from third party developers and publishers and SCE Worldwide Studios, including UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End, New Hot Shots Golf (working title) and The Last Guardian, this coming year."
