Onstage and backstage material mix awkwardly in this David Byrne gig film, drawn from shows celebrating his Brian Eno collaborations.
With only his silver-fox thatch betraying the years since classic Stop Making Sense, Byrne wriggles and writhes through a groovy set of polyrhythmic pop.
But between song interviews and rehearsal snippets sap momentum: imagine watching Inception with Making Of breaks every five minutes.
Far better to enjoy the jittery thrust of ‘Air’ or the funky, punchy ‘Burning Down The House’, where deadpan David rocks a rather fetching tutu.
