Guerilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee has parted company with his Killzone comrades to begin working on an “ambitious” new mystery project at Dead Space developer Visceral Games. Brussee, who served as the studio's development director during its time on four Killzone titles and acquisition by Sony, announced his departure in an email obtained by Control Online (via Edge).
Prior to the founding of Guerrilla, Brussee was instrumental in guiding the company through its earlier incarnations as Lost Boys Games and Orange Games. It was at the latter that Brussee had his first hit, Jazz Jackrabbit, which is also credited with launching the career of co-designer Cliff Bleszinski.
For now, “I now want to find a new personal challenge,” says Brussee: “who knows where this will take me next.” For the moment, Visceral Games does, and will hopefully share more details soon...
