The Division comparison: how's it stack up to the E3 demo?

It feels like aaaages ago when The Division was first announced. Because it was. Back in 2014 we saw a beautiful looking game set in a snowy New York, brought to it's knees by some mysterious disease. Cars popped and exploded under gunfire, environmental damage perfectly modelled the light from bullet holes, and the snow melted.

Question is, does it still look like that? We've been playing it recently (check out or Division gameplay impressions) and had a good look at how the game appears now. It's not too shabby but clearly not quite as beautiful as stage demo running off an atomic powered PC, obviously. The important thing is that they got the shutting car doors thing in.
