10 Worst Pop Star Appearances in SF 8

8 LORDI
Worst SF performance: Dark Floors
Pop fame: Troll-like Eurovision winners
SF fame: Dear oh dear oh Lordi. What went wrong? Making a horror film starring the Finnish winners of Eurovision should have been a no brainer. They do, after all, dress up as demonic monsters straight out of a straight-to-DVD cheesefest. Get the larger ready! But it all went wrong because somebody decided to cast them an arty horror movie (two concepts that rarely make good bedfellow, as you’ll know if you’ve ever seen The Exorcist II). For most of the film they make barely more than ghostly, ethereal appearances and at the end they’re revealed as some kind of cosmic counterbalance to chaos. Or something. Dull and pretentious it’s a waste of good latex.
