ZombiU gameplay - Quickplay

E3 is loud and bright, so it's nearly impossible to get completely immersed in a game. Being frightened by one? Even harder. That's why we jumped at the opportunity to try Ubisoft's ZombiU after the show ended in an environment more conducive to enjoying survival horror games. And guess what: it was really, genuinely scary. Take a look.

While we were originally worried about the game being the Wii U's Red Steel, every time we get hands-on with the game we walk away a little more optimistic. We loved it when we wrote our ZombiU previe, and were even more impressed now that we had time to play it in a dark, quiet room. Let us know what you think, and be sure to check out 10 London settings we want to see zombified in ZombiU for even more undead-killing glee.

It's a shame it still conforms to such casual shooter tropes. Like, collectable items being all shiny and flashy, your objective being always on the screen, and the game always telling you what buttons you need to press. It really ruins the immersion, which is pretty important in a horror game. I mean, why can't the narrative just tell my what I need to do instead of a pop-up on my screen shoving it in my face? And you'd think after the first few times, I'd know that X opens and closes doors, or lets me crouch through air vents. The game still looks fun, and I have high hopes for it, but it's kind of depressing to see that games that claim to be fresh and unique still do these kinds of things.

This game is getting me excited for the WiiU. Seems Nintendo is stepping up their game on this one.

This will be great when I play it on my PS3. Also, it already looks dated. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/07/e3-2012-zombiu-could-go-multiplatform

It will be gimped when you play it on your PS3 unless Ubisoft figure out how to control the game using the Vita. Also, every console game looks dated.

Thats kinda funny because could doesn't mean it will like you think and I don't think it will because no one has a vita yet and it a would be a dumb move to release a game that hardly anyone will be able to play, they also considered going mutiplat with red steel and it didn't happen so get a wiiu if you want to play the real version of the game and not crap port version

Dated? The fuck are you playing on, alien technology?

No. PC graphics and console graphics nowadays is like comparing blue ray to dvd. The difference is there, but its minimal at best.

Okay. The fuck you think Im typing this on. If you honestly think PC graphics are "LEAPS AND YEARS BEYOND DOS DUMZ OUTDATEXX CONSOLZ!!!11!" then you are seriously lying to yourself. Honestly, compare Batman Arkham Asylum on a PC Rig and on an Xbox with a 50'' HDTV. The graphical difference is minimal.

Lolololol I haz a PC so I am a PC gamer. Go back to your Pharmville. Also no one cares about Batman.

This game makes me think what fallout 3 would be if it gets a port on wii u, imagine using the wii u pad as the pipboy 3000 that would be awesome you wouldnt have to pause to change weapons, it would make the game more challenging and realistic.

I like that idea, alot. Also, this game looks really cool.
