Unreal Engine 3 heads to Sin City

Epic's tech licensed by Red Mile for its adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel

Dec 21, 2007

Red Mile's Sin City game, based on the Frank Miller graphic novel, is yet another title to be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

"The Unreal Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines on the market and is a perfect fit for our Sin City video games," Glenn Wong, president and COO for developer Red Mile, has said in an announcement on the licensing of the technology.

Little is currently known about Sin City, but Frank Miller has had this to say previously: "...some old characters will return, new characters will appear and - without giving anything away - probably die horribly."

Scriptwriting, story generation, and overall production is being handled by Flint Dille, who worked on The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.
